The Chapel was designed specifically for the Templer Society of Bayswater to reflect their Christian values, their history in Australia and the strength of their united integrated community village.
Situated near the entry to their vast community site which incorporates independent living, aged care residence and multi-purpose facilities within landscaped gardens, the Chapel’s prominent location welcomes all to their community.
Replacing the old Church Hall, the new Chapel seats 200 people within the intimate building envelope. The intentional design delineation between the building elements of walls, glazing and floating roof structure defines it’s truly modern expressive form and creates it’s prominence within the community.
The organic floor plan captures and draws your eyes to the reflective vistas in the Chapel’s treed setting, merging both the intimate interior spaces and the communal exterior landscaped environment.
